Similar to numerous aliments Autism can vary in degree.

The National Institute of Health defines The Autism Spectrum as the name for a group of developmental disorders. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) includes a wide range, “a spectrum,” of skills, symptoms, and degrees of disability.

People with Autism Spectrum Disorder frequently exhibit these characteristics:

  • Ongoing social problems
  • Difficulty communicating and interacting with others
  • Repetitive behaviors
  • Limited interests
  • Lack of desire to participate in activities

The above symptoms are typically recognized in the first two years of a child’s life.

Autism Symptoms may hurt the individual’s ability to function socially, at school or work, or in other areas of life

The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) ranges from people who are mildly impaired by their symptoms to people who are severely disabled from ASD symptoms.

Treatments and services can help improve a person’s symptoms and their ability to function.
