AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER
The National Institute of Health defines The Autism Spectrum as the name for a group of developmental disorders.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) includes a wide range, “a spectrum,” of skills, symptoms, and degrees of disability.
Similar to numerous medical conditions, Autism can vary in degree.
People with Autism Spectrum Disorder frequently exhibit these characteristics:
- Ongoing social problems
- Difficulty communicating and interacting with others
- Repetitive behaviors
- Limited interests
- Lack of desire to participate in activities
The above symptoms are typically recognized as autism symptoms in toddlers.
Autism symptoms may hurt the individual’s ability to function socially, at school or work, or in other areas of life.
The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) ranges from people who are mildly impaired by their symptoms to people who are severely disabled from ASD symptoms.
