So, can Turmeric Help A Chronic Illness?

The Siddha medicine, traditional Indian medicine believes Turmeric helps illnesses. The Indian medicine recommends Turmeric as a medication.

I had never heard of Turmeric until I began to research alternative ways to halt the inflammation that raged within my body.

My use of Western medicine did not seem to slow down the progression of my Relapsing Polychondritis.

My kind-hearted Western doctors told me to research Eastern Medicine.

As I began my search into Eastern Medicine and alternative medicine I discovered that Chinese medicine uses Turmeric to treat autoimmune disorders, cancers, and liver diseases.

Scientific Studies Of Turmeric

Recent scientific studies confirm that turmeric helps halt “ inflammatory, offers antioxidant, antiviral, thus Turmeric may help protect against potential numerous malignant diseases, arthritis, allergies, Alzheimer’s disease, and other chronic diseases.

The antioxidant Curcumin that produces the vibrant yellowish color on Turmeric is believed to be a potent antioxidant that dramatically reduces inflammation.

Research indicates that Curcumin inhibits the growth of tumor cells in a variety of cancers, improves insulin resistance to a person that experience altered metabolic function.

Curcumin may be the most important compound in Turmeric, but Turmeric contains two dozen other anti-inflammatory compounds.

If you want to halt Alzheimer’s disease, then you should consider adding Turmeric to your daily supplements.

Turmeric helps turn off the NF-kappa B family of molecules. The NF- kappa B family molecules trigger inflammatory proteins during uncontrollable stress.

The blockage of NF- kappa B helps halt the formation of the beta-amyloid plaques that cause Alzheimer’s disease.

Due to my battle with Relapsing Polychondritis, I continue to include Turmeric in my daily supplements regime.

I do not know if my Turmeric supplements are beneficial to my body. However, as I read about Eastern medicine and the recent medical studies about Turmeric I am keeping Turmeric on my daily supplement list.

Perhaps, the Turmeric is helpful to my body. I am fortunate to be more active than most people who struggle with numerous life-threatening chronic illnesses.
