First of all, I hope you are able to pay or have health insurance.
If you are chronically ill it may be difficult for you to work.
Other times, life happens and the cost of healthcare is beyond your financial reach.
You mostly like will not hear ads for low-cost or free health care for the uninsured.
However, the government offers a free or low-cost health care programs to help you.
If you are unable to afford any health plan and you do not qualify for coverage through Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), you can get low-cost health care at a nearby community health center.
How much you pay for this health care depends on your income.
These programs are available through the United States Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration.
HRSA Health Centers will help provide care for you, even if you have no health insurance.
Health Resources and Services Administration HRSA provides;
- Checkups when you are well
- Treatment when you are sick
- Complete care when you are pregnant
- Immunizations and checkups for your children
- Some health centers also provide mental health, substance abuse, oral health, and/or vision services.
